Perun MW, 2005 German Oldenburg Verband gelding by Prezioso S out of Feliz Wind
Perun MW (pronounced Pear-oon) is a gorgeous boy with definite personality. Perun is a fraternal twin to Finally Friday, carried by separate mares, same sire/dam combination offering very different characteristics. Perun was carried by a surrogate dam after embryo flush and transfer.
Perun's correct and fluid movements reflect his excellent conformation. He is suitable for any discipline stands 15.3 hands. Perun has a promising future on the Hunter/Jumper or Eventing circuit with the movement of a dressage horse. He is brave and bold while being very trusting of his rider. Perun is very willing and enjoys working under saddle, gymnastics, 2'6" courses, and of course cross country and trail rides.
Perun's sire Prezioso S competed with Olympian Lauren Hough campaigning at FEI level show jumping. During 2010 he traveled in Europe and Canada with visits at the World Cup and Spruce Meadows In April 2010, he placed 1st in Pres de Communes Genevoises 7th Prix L'Hebd. In Aachen, CHIO Aachen: Casually defying the storm The US American rider, Lauren Hough, and Prezioso S win the Prize of StadteRegion Aachen 2010! From an article in the Chronicle: Ms Hough states "Prezioso S actually likes the mud and rain, so I wasn't disappointed to have to go in the changing conditions, I felt quite confident that the ground is really good, and I could take a chance."
Prezioso's sucess has continued for numerous years. He completed several successful seasons at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, FL including numerous first places in the 1.30 to 1.45 meter classes as well as Reserve Circuit Champion. Prezioso was Champion of the Level 6 Jumpers at HITS on the Hudson in 2008 with Margie Engle. Prezioso S is a world championship qualifier as well as Bundeschampionate 2002 qualifier. Prezioso's sire Pilox (by Pilot) is a successful show jumper as well. This sire line offers excellent jumping potential.
Perun's dam Feliz Wind (Trakehner/Thoroughbred) is a trustworthy Eventing mare. Feliz's confident demeanor is present in this gelding. Feliz has shown at USEA recognized Training Level events and has schooled Preliminary cross-country. Feliz's sire Flugwind was imported to the USA by Iron Spring Farm. He is described as a stallion with good type in a large frame, very harmonious overall. He had a sloping shoulder and movements at trot and canter were very good. Flugwind's sire Tannenberg is described as an excellent type of the Trakehner horse with beautiful conformation. His way of going was elevated and impulsive. Tannenberg's magnificent type was passed to his get, and so was the harmonious overall figure. All of the traits are present in this wonderful young prospect.
